  Environmental considerations play an important factor in the company's decision making. More than three quarters of our developments over the last five years have been redevelopment of redundant or brown field sites. These projects require careful analysis of existing conditions and a responsible approach to the reinstatement of the ground to conditions suitable for residential occupation.

All of our developments incorporate comprehensive landscaping schemes adding considerably to the local environment in terms of the vast number of trees that we plant on new schemes.

Our environmental considerations do not end purely with the selection of the development sites. Sustainability audits are now a matter of course with regards the impact of a development on the local environment: the availability of public transport, local employment, shops, amenities and schools all play a part when considering the suitability of land for development and the future impact of that development on the environment. Finally, the selection of materials plays an equally important role within our organisation: all timber used in our developments comes from sustainable resources. The use of other materials is regularly reviewed to ensure that a responsible selection is made.
